Security agencies are organizations responsible for the enforcement of laws, protection of property, and the safety of people. These agencies play a important role in maintaining public order and security.
Examples of security agencies include:
- Police Force – They maintain law and order.
- Fire Service – They deal with fire and rescue operations.
- Medical Emergency Services (Red Cross) – They provide immediate medical help during emergencies.
- Coast Guard – They ensure the safety of our waters.
- Nigerian Armed Forces – They defend the country from external threats and ensure internal security.
- Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) – They provide emergency response and public safety services.
- Nigerian Immigration Service – They regulate and monitor immigration into and out of Nigeria.
- Nigerian Customs Service – They oversee the regulation and taxation of goods entering and exiting the country, and combat smuggling and other illegal activities.
