National Common Entrance Examination
— The National Examinations Council (NECO) announces the eagerly awaited National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admission into Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS 1) of Federal Unity Colleges for the 2024 academic session.
Exam Date:
The examination is scheduled to be held nationwide on Saturday, 20th April 2024.
Registration Deadline:
Candidates are encouraged to complete their registration process before the closing date, which is 8:00 am on Saturday, 20th April 2024.
Registration Cost:
The registration fee for the 2024 NCEE is Four Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Naira only (N4,750.00) per candidate.
Registration Procedure:
Registration for the 2024 NCEE is strictly online. Interested parties, including Head Teachers, Parents, and Guardians, should visit the NECO corporate website www.neco.gov.ng to create an online account, activate it, and follow the step-by-step registration guide provided. Payments can be made via various methods, including card, bank branch, USSD, internet banking, wallet, and eNaira.

Structure of the Examination:
The examination consists of two papers:
- Paper I: Mathematics, Basic Science & Technology, English, and National Values Education.
- Paper II: Quantitative and Vocational Aptitude, and Verbal Aptitude.
Candidates are required to select one Federal Unity College from each geopolitical zone.
